League Cup Information and Advice for Supporters

League Cup Information and Advice for Supporters

This Tuesday, the Chelsea Supporters Trust attended a meeting at Scotland Yard with the Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police, officials from Wembley Stadium and representatives from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur Football Clubs. Following this meeting, we have been asked to distribute the following information and advice to Chelsea supporters:

At Wembley Stadium:

To avoid delays on entering the stadium, all supporters are advised to arrive early as the area around Wembley is congested on matchdays.

There will be zero tolerance towards racism and pyro inside and outside Wembley Stadium with sniffer dogs present to prevent the use of smoke bombs and flares, etc.

There will be a sizeable police presence at the game and a number of potential flash points for trouble and/or crushing have been identified by the police and Wembley Stadium. Stewards will be present on both sides of the segregation lines within the stadium, facing both sets of respective supporters.

Further information regarding Wembley Stadium can be found here.

Chelsea Pubs:

The pub split for Chelsea and Tottenham supporters has been released and can be viewed on the CST website here. Pubs will stop serving alcohol one hour before kick off and the match itself will not be screened at any public venues in the Wembley area. Off licenses and supermarkets will not sell more than four cans of beer to any one person and the whole of Wembley is covered by a no street drinking order.

Touts:

Wembley Stadium is designated as a dispersal zone and any ticket touts that are identified will be moved on.

Travel:

There are no major transport problems reported for Sunday in central London, however be aware South West Trains are carrying out engineering works. The Circle and District Lines are subject to part closure between Kensington (Olympia), Earl's Court and Embankment. All trains from Baker Street will have British Transport police on board. The Globe at Baker Street will have fencing on the pavement outside the pub.

Chelsea Support:

The Chelsea Pride of London overhead flag will be displayed before the game and flags for each team will be laid out on individual seats for supporters.

The Chelsea Supporters Trust wishes everyone associated with the club, from Mr Abramovich and the players to our supporters, an enjoyable and successful day!
